Storage Solutions and Why They are Effective.

Storage solutions don't come cheap in today's world, whether its the monetary cost or the space it requires, it can be difficult especially for expanding businesses - because of this finding feasible options can become one of the biggest challenges for our customers so lets run through some of the choices you do have:

Shipping Containers - Safe, Secure, tried and tested. You can't really fault them, they do exactly what they say and they do it well. With costs coming down since Covid, shipping containers are an attractive option for those with the room to fill. Acting as a more expensive option in the short term, these units hold there value well, meaning that when it does come time to move it on, you can hope to make some of your money back.

To add to the impressive list of benefits, we have in the past made modifications to containers, adding insulation and electrics along with additional doors and windows. These modifications come at additional costs but truly show the versatility of the standard shipping container.

Flatpack Containers - Once again, these units offer a safe and reliable solution for customers that have the space to work with. So what's the difference in these two options? Unlike standard shipping containers these flatpack containers can be moved far easier and quicker than their more permanent counterpart. With the ability to be taken down and rebuilt in different areas, you don't have to worry about placement, allowing for more flexible usage.

These units once again come in varying sizes, this partnered with their lower initial cost, allows for a very strong and versatile unit suitable for most, if not all sites. Additionally, shelving can be added to the majority of these units for an added cost allowing for a multitude of extra uses. They may not be the best option for all sites but they certainly do an incredible job nonetheless.

Self-Storage - Unlike the previous two options, self storage doesn't require any space or upfront costs. For example our sister company Ord Storage has a dedicated yard filled with storage containers of various sizes that customers can hire for extended periods of time. This option is ideal for individuals or local businesses that need somewhere off their own premises but want to keep a high level of security.

Cabins - While cabins aren't necessarily built for strorage purposes, they sure do make a good job of it. With most (if not all) of our cabins coming with built in electrics and lighting there is no need to have to add anything to it. Added windows allow for ventilation while the insulation keeps the unit warm. Cost wise, cabins will likely be more expensive than a shipping container of the same size, however having amenities such as electric built into the unit can save a lot in the long haul.

Depending on the customer, one of the key benefits of a cabin over a container could be the look - cabins can be slightly less 'industrial' looking, giving a more welcoming appearance, ideal if this is going to be seen by customers or the general public.

Ultimately, your own personal needs and circumstances are what will guide you to the right option - no two people will have the same requirements, for some the ease of having a container in your garden will be the answer, for others, they might work best having a self storage container that they can hire on a monthly basis.

We do our best to offer a variety of options when it comes to storage, and while not the only options, these four tend to be the most popular among our customers.
